Caramel in Australia: 21 units tested over 3 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Australia.
Choosing a prefilled pod for caramel
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Australia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.

The short version: caramel in Australia works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a caramel prefilled pod really costs in Australia
Caramel prefilled pod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 21 units and 3 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested caramel in a prefilled pod
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Australia, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 21 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in Australia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every caramel bottle shipped into Australia.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in Australia, not a suggestion.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised A$43 entry kit as the real cost when refills run A$3.28 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a prefilled pod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Australia caps nicotine at 20 mg/ml outside legal prescription channels.
Packaging for caramel in Australia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
