Citrus box mod IQOS in Australia: the guide shortlist
Citrus in Australia: 17 units tested over 5 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Australia.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
The honest read on citrus: 17 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Citrus box mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 17 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long citrus tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a citrus box mod really costs in Australia
A citrus box mod from the starter options in Australia costs about A$2.44 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested citrus in a box mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Australia, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a citrus bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every citrus bottle shipped into Australia.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in Australia, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing citrus with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Australia stocks.
The rules that apply here
Australia caps nicotine at 20 mg/ml outside legal prescription channels.
Retail sales in Australia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
