What IQOS in Australia really means

buyers tend to overbuy on hardware and underbuy on liquid. The hardware is cheap; the liquid is what you replace every fortnight. That single fact shapes most of the recommendations below.

There is a lot of IQOS stock circulating in that was repackaged for a different market. Different nicotine arithmetic, different certificate, sometimes a differentPG VG ratio than the label suggests. Checking that three things — batch code, liquid colour, coil resistance — tells you most of what you need.

What to check before you buy IQOS

• Batch code on the box: the IQOS sold in Australia should trace back to a dated production run, not an open lot.
• Liquid colour under the bottle: clear to pale gold is normal for a fruit blend; dark amber usually means it has been sitting.
• Seal integrity: a child-resistant cap that pops open in the post has usually been opened before.
• nicotine ceiling for the market. 16 is the practical cap here, and anything stronger is not sold legally.

How to choose the right IQOS in Australia

1. Then pick Ohm's law. Under 1.0 Ω points to a mouth-to-lung setup, above it you are in direct-to-lung territory.
2. Then check the liquid ratio against the coil. A 70/30 blend in a 0.8 Ω pod wicks fine; the same liquid in a 1.2 Ω tank will spit.
3. Pick your draw first. A mouth-to-lung pod rewards a higher nicotine strength and a thin liquid; a sub-ohm tank wants the opposite, and mixing them is the most common reason someone says flavour died early.

What it costs in Australia

A starter kit lands around A$30. Refills run A$21 for 30 ml, which works out to roughly A$2.89 per 10 ml once you spread it across a month.

Shipping, dispatch and delivery

Signature is required on delivery above A$227. Courier windows in {} shift around public holidays.

Every parcel is packed flat and sealed, with the batch code written on the inner label so you can match it to the bottle.

Mistakes that cost Australia buyers money

• Assuming the online price is the landed price. Duty and courier handling in change the maths more than most listings admit.
• Storing liquid in a warm drawer. Heat is what oxidises a fruit note, not time.
• Chaining a sweet dessert blend at high wattage. Sweeteners caramelise on the coil and kill it in days.

Rules that apply here

Australia caps nicotine at 20 mg/ml outside legal prescription channels. Age verification applies at the point of sale, and the 18+ check sits on the order, not the delivery.
