Ordering IQOS to Australia: the practical version
Frozen pod kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 22 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you are looking at frozen in Australia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pod kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Below is the run we did for this search: 22 units, pod kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a frozen pod kit really costs in Australia
Frozen in Australia reaches the shelf in pod kit formats, and the pre-order ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested frozen in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Australia, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a frozen bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Treating the advertised A$45 entry kit as the real cost when refills run A$3.13 per 10 ml.
- Mixing frozen with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Australia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Is frozen legal to sell in Australia?
Australia caps nicotine at 20 mg/ml outside legal prescription channels.
How long does frozen in a pod kit last?
In Australia we measured 5 to 22 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should frozen start at?
Start at whatever Australia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pod kit.
