Frozen prefilled pod IQOS in Australia: the wholesale shortlist
Frozen in Australia: 8 units tested over 5 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Australia.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Most people searching IQOS in Australia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
We run frozen the same way in Australia: same prefilled pod, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: frozen in Australia works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a frozen prefilled pod really costs in Australia
Frozen prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Australia that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within A$3.08 per 10 ml.
How we tested frozen in a prefilled pod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Australia, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in Australia, not a suggestion.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in Australia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Australia accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a prefilled pod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why frozen tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Australia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Australia caps nicotine at 20 mg/ml outside legal prescription channels. Shipping of nicotine to Australia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Frozen | Decides coil choice more than strength does |
| Format | prefilled pod | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |
| Stock checked | 8 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | 20 mg/mL | Legal retail limit in Australia |
| Coil life | ~6 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Australia | 4–9 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | A$51 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | A$3.08 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On frozen the budget price and the premium price can sit within A$3.08 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Why does frozen taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the frozen blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should frozen start at?
Start at whatever Australia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a prefilled pod.
