Plum pod kit IQOS in Australia: the budget shortlist
Plum in Australia: 23 units tested over 6 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Australia.
Ordering IQOS to Australia: the practical version
Plum prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Australia that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within A$3.41 per 10 ml.
The honest read on plum: 23 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long plum tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plum pod kit really costs in Australia
Plum sounds like one product. It is not: a pod kit running 20 mg/mL will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested plum in a pod kit
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Australia, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a plum bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plum bottle shipped into Australia.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where plum goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Australia accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plum tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Australia caps nicotine at 20 mg/ml outside legal prescription channels.
Packaging for plum in Australia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
