Sour box mod IQOS in Australia: the guide shortlist
Sour in Australia: 24 units tested over 2 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Australia.
What the label on Sour is allowed to say
Ordering into Australia usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Sour sounds like one product. It is not: a box mod running 20 mg/mL will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Below is the run we did for this search: 24 units, box mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a sour box mod really costs in Australia
We run sour the same way in Australia: same box mod, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested sour in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Australia, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in Australia, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sour bottle shipped into Australia.
Where sour goes wrong
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Australia stocks.
- Treating the advertised A$28 entry kit as the real cost when refills run A$3.05 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Australia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Australia caps nicotine at 20 mg/ml outside legal prescription channels. Shipping of nicotine to Australia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

| Entry kit | A$28 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | A$3.05 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Is sour legal to sell in Australia?
Australia caps nicotine at 20 mg/ml outside legal prescription channels.
What nicotine strength should sour start at?
Start at whatever Australia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a box mod.
How long does sour in a box mod last?
In Australia we measured 2 to 24 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
