Vanilla pen device IQOS in Australia: the price shortlist
Vanilla in Australia: 21 units tested over 6 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Australia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the vanilla habit
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Australia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
We run vanilla the same way in Australia: same pen device, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: vanilla in Australia works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a vanilla pen device really costs in Australia
Vanilla in a pen device is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Australia the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested vanilla in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Australia, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every vanilla bottle shipped into Australia.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in Australia, since tanks and pods go first.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why vanilla tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Australia caps nicotine at 20 mg/ml outside legal prescription channels. Shipping of nicotine to Australia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
